How to Tie a Head Scarf to Cover Your Entire Head

104 3

    The Classic Tie

    • 1). Fold the head scarf in half to form a triangle.

    • 2). Place the scarf on your head with the point of the triangle in the back. This will be the tail. The two corners should be draped over each of your shoulders.

    • 3). Tie the two corners together once at the nape of your neck. Tie them tightly so that the scarf won't move on your head. You should have two long corners left over from tying the knot. However, if the corner sections are too short, simply tuck them under the knot or, if you prefer, leave them hanging.

    • 4). Wrap each corner around your head once and tie them securely at the nape of your neck. The tail should still be hanging over both of your knots to hide them.

    The Bun

    • 1). Style your hair in a bun, either at the nape of your neck or at the top of your head.

    • 2). Fold the head scarf in half to form a triangle.

    • 3). Place the scarf on your head with the point of the triangle in the back. This will be the tail. The two corners should be draped over each of your shoulders.

    • 4). Tie the two corners together once at the nape of your neck. Tie it tightly so that the scarf won't move on your head.

    • 5). Tuck the tail under the knot so that it is hidden. Wrap each corner around the bun, one at a time, and tuck the ends under the bun.
